What is Counselling?
Counselling is a professional, confidential, private space where everything you share is treated with respect. You are free to talk about anything that’s on your mind. It is a process that can help you work through difficult thoughts, feelings, or behaviours, and support personal change or deeper understanding of self.
I believe developing a trusting relationship where you feel safe enough to express yourself and may want to share deep and personal life experiences, relationship difficulties amongst other things.
We all know just how difficult, painful and hard life can be.
I won’t give you advice but I will work very hard to help you uncover your own answers around whatever is troubling you, holding you back or or keeping you stuck. With the aim enable you to decide how you would like to deal with your situation and make any changes that feel right for you.
Many people come to counselling and bring a wide range of life stories, experiences and psychological distress along with emotions that can feel overwhelming, painful, sad, angry, guilty, anxiety and panic attacks.

How I work
I am trained in an Integrative approach, which means I draw from a range of evidence-based counselling methods, ensuring your therapy is tailored specifically to you.
You may want to work with difficulties that are happening in the present day or experiences from your past that are affecting you and your life in the present day.
You may want to have some strategies to help you cope. All of this will be discussed at the first appointment and periodically reviewed to ensure that we are working to your goals.
You may chose to use the space to talk about what is troubling you or you can access creative mediums such as drawing, arts and crafts, music sand and play.
Creative counselling is especially helpful for individuals who may struggle to express themselves through words alone
The choice is yours!
