Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy
At Michelle's Counselling & Training, I understand that circumstances can change and that sometimes appointments need to be rearranged or cancelled.
When an appointment is booked, that time is reserved specifically for you. The following arrangements help me manage appointments fairly and consistently.
Cancelling or rearranging an appointment
Where possible, I ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Where 48 hours' notice is provided, the cancellation fee may be reduced to half the usual session fee.
Where less than 48 hours' notice is provided, the full session fee will normally be payable.
Missed appointments without notice will be charged at the full session rate.
Late arrival
If you arrive late for an appointment, the session will normally finish at the originally agreed time. This helps ensure that other appointments are not affected.
Exceptional circumstances
I recognise that emergencies and unexpected circumstances can arise. If something happens that affects your ability to attend, please contact me as soon as possible. Any exceptional circumstances will be considered individually.
Cancellations by the counsellor
If I need to cancel an appointment, I will give you as much notice as possible and arrange an alternative appointment where appropriate. You will not be charged for appointments cancelled by me.
