Our Process

LM Counselling Training

Accredited qualifications are delivered in partnership with Laura Joanknecht to create L & M Trauma informed Counselling Training, a training partnership committed to providing , trauma-informed counselling education.

Together, we combine our experience as practising counsellors, supervisors and tutors to create learning experiences that are engaging, supportive and rooted in real-world clinical practice. Our courses encourage curiosity, critical thinking and reflective practice, preparing students to work confidently and ethically with a wide range of client presentations.

CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Working with Trauma (PC-L5)

Designed for qualified counsellors wishing to develop specialist knowledge and confidence in working with trauma.

The course explores:

  • Trauma-informed practice

  • Neurobiology of trauma

  • Complex trauma and PTSD

  • Dissociation

  • Childhood adversity and attachment

  • Trauma assessment and formulation

  • Working safely and ethically with trauma

  • Reflective practice and professional resilience

Delivered through a combination of taught sessions, discussion, experiential learning and reflective practice, the course supports counsellors to integrate trauma-informed principles into their everyday clinical work.
