Understanding Consent When The Body Says No

Key Topics

  • What consent is (and is not): beyond “yes/no”

  • Automatic body responses to danger (freeze, fawn, shutdown)

  • Why the body may comply or go still under threat

  • Myths around resistance and responsibility

  • Reframing consent through a trauma-informed lens

Supporting a Partner’s Recovery From Sexual Trauma

A confidential space for men supporting a partner who has experienced sexual trauma.

This men-only workshop offers a confidential, respectful and supportive space for men who are supporting a survivor of sexual violence. Supporting someone you love who has experienced sexual trauma can be confusing, overwhelming, and isolating. Many men carry questions, emotions, and responsibility quietly—often without a space to talk about it.

We will explore

• Understanding trauma and its impact on relationships
• How to support your partner without trying to “fix” them
• Navigating boundaries, intimacy, and communication
• Managing your own emotions while staying supportive
• Practical tools to support your emotional responses you can use in everyday life

This is not about blame or judgement. It’s about support, understanding, and learning how to show up for both you and your partner.
