Understanding Grief and Loss
6 Hours CPD
Grief is something most counsellors will encounter throughout their careers, yet every person's experience of loss is unique. Whilst theories can help us understand the grieving process, they don't tell us what grief looks like for the person sitting in front of us.
In this workshop, we'll explore two well-known theories of grief, considering what they can teach us while recognising that no single model can fully explain an individual's experience. Together, we'll think about how theory can inform our work without losing sight of the therapeutic relationship and the uniqueness of every client's story.
My aim isn't simply to teach grief theories. It's to help you develop the confidence to think about how those theories can support your work in a way that feels thoughtful, ethical and responsive to each individual client.
See how different that feels?
